I am from the Washington, DC area and moved to Colorado for undergraduate school at CSU. I became a Practical Nurse where I did home care and hospice work and then continued to complete my social work degree. I then returned to Washington, DC for a graduate degree from The Catholic University of America. During my internship at the the National Institutes for Health, I worked with the first identified AIDS patients, neurologically impacted and psychosomatic patients. After completing my MSW, I returned to Colorado and worked at National Jewish Center for Respiratory Medicine where Dr. Lerner and I first met. I moved to West Lafayette, Indiana where I served in the inpatient eating disorders treatment program at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital and started a small private practice. Upon returning to Colorado, I worked in the Department of Behavioral Sciences at The Children’s Hospital in Denver treating individuals with eating disorders and other medically impacted families (issues such as childhood cancer, ADHD, and metabolic problems).Upon starting my own family, I relocated to Boulder and opened a Private Practice focusing on clients with eating disorders and chronic illnesses. I began to work with Dr. Lerner in 2010, evaluating and treating clients with ADHD, mood and adjustment issues.
